Winners announced for the 2025 Petplan Veterinary Awards

The awards were set up to recognise the nation’s most outstanding veterinary professionals as nominated by clients and colleagues.

Petplan announced the five winners of the 2025 Veterinary Awards during a ceremony held in London last week. Now in their 26th year, these awards were set up to recognise the nation’s most outstanding veterinary professionals – nominated by clients and colleagues alike for their continued hard work and dedication to keeping pets healthy. 

Whittled down from over 41,000 entries and with just three finalists selected in each category, the five winners are: 

Practice support staff of the year

Hannah Reid, Westport Veterinary Clinic, South Queensferry

Practice manager of the year

Fiona Leathers, Westport Veterinary Clinic, South Queensferry

Practice of the year

Coastal Veterinary Group, King’s Lynn

Vet nurse of the year

Rachel Hewson, Belle Vue Veterinary Practice, Wigton, Cumbria

Vet of the year

Claire Phillips, Wright & Moreton, Somerford, Cheshire

The prestigious award ceremony was held during the London Vet Show at ExCeL, London and was hosted by comedian Josh Widdicombe.
