Advanced Postgraduate Programmes: the next level of training for veterinary surgeons who wish to develop their knowledge in a specific clinical topic. Vets who take this learning programme can achieve a GPAdvCert, awarded by ISVPS. The training for the advanced certificates all takes place in-person, with sessions in Swindon or Sheffield depending on the programme.
Why take an Advanced Certificate programme?
Vets taking our advanced veterinary care courses can achieve a General Practitioner Advanced Certificate (GPAdvCert) in their chosen discipline, awarded by the International School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies (ISVPS). Vets who hold the Advanced Certificate are highly regarded worldwide. They’re also confident in their skills, able to take on complex caseloads, and able to critically analyse and reflect on new information and evidence to see if it changes their approach. Study hours for the GPAdvCert can be used towards your annual veterinary CPD requirements. If you choose to continue your training with us, some of the Advanced Certificates can also provide 40 credits towards the Professional Master’s Degree (MProf), validated by Harper Adams University.
