Postgraduate Programmes

Modular training for vets

Broaden your horizons with a veterinary postgraduate certificate

Our postgraduate programmes give you the skills you need to achieve a veterinary postgraduate certificate.   Over the course of the training programme, you will acquire new knowledge, develop your skills, and learn new techniques in your chosen subject. As a result, you will be able to approach complex cases with confidence. Vets with postgraduate certificates have higher job satisfaction, improved relationships with clients, and a higher earning potential. You’ll also develop important skills for critical analysis and reflection, which form the basis of lifelong learning essential to the veterinary profession. And don’t forget that, as a vet, postgraduate course study hours count towards your annual veterinary CPD requirements.

Our veterinary training programmes are taught by respected specialists in the profession, and the high-quality learning is accredited by the International School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies (ISVPS). After the assessments, successful delegates will achieve a General Practitioner Certificate (GPCert) – a globally recognised academic qualification. The majority of our disciplines then allow delegates to take a further module and assessments to convert their GPCert into the Postgraduate Certificate (PgC) validated by Harper Adams University (HAU), which is worth 60 academic credits and is a Master’s Level 7 within the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) framework for higher and further education. It also allows vets to apply for RCVS Approved Practitioner Status. If you’d like to advance your learning further, you may also be able to use your PgC towards a veterinary Professional Masters Degree (MProf) or a veterinary Postgraduate Diploma (PgD) with Improve Veterinary Education.

Postgraduate Programmes: Modular training programmes for qualified vets that combine online, lecturebased and hands-on modules to provide you with the best learning experience. The duration of these veterinary certificates varies from one to two years and requires no more than two to four days of study every six to eight weeks. At the end, you can receive a GPCert awarded by ISVPS or go on to complete the PgC with Harper Adams University.
