Postgraduate Certificate in Dentistry and Oral Surgery
Thinking of getting a veterinary dentistry certificate, or want to become an RCVS Advanced Practitioner in dentistry? The PgC/GPCert program is exactly what you need. The 15 modules of this face-to-face certificate programme are taught with a combination of classroom lectures and practical sessions in our Clinical Excellence Centre in Swindon. You’ll benefit from teaching from several European specialists, access to the latest technology, and incredible peer-peer support. And if that wasn’t enough, successful completion of the assessments can earn you postnominals with the ISVPS GPCert or the PgC from Harper Adams University.

Advanced Certificate in Small Animal Dentistry and Oral Surgery
If you’ve already got a dentistry certificate and want to take your skills to an advanced level, the GPAdvCert from ISVPS is perfect. You’ll benefit from hands-on training in advanced dental techniques, including orthodontics, endodontics, prosthodontics, and root canal therapies. The programme also covers oral surgery – maxillectomy, jaw fracture repairs and soft palate surgeries are also included. If you’re looking to boost your career to the next level by learning veterinary endodontics, this course is for you.

Feline Dentistry Short Course
A two-day veterinary dental CPD course focusing exclusively on our feline friends and their unique dental problems. You’ll get 12 hours of CPD using the radiology suite and wet lab in our Clinical Excellence Centre, and cover everything from the business case for feline dentistry through to the whys and why nots of crown amputations. We’ve got courses in February and August, but book soon as numbers are limited for a good learning experience!

Canine Dentistry Short Course
This highly practical two-day short course provides 12 hours of veterinary dental CPD focusing on our canine patients. In our superb training facility, you’ll develop your x-ray skills and practice your extractions on cadavers in a wet lab environment. Numbers on these practical courses are strictly limited to make the most of the teaching and minimise sharing of equipment. The course is running in April and October – why not pair with the feline course for a complete refresher!

Rabbit Dentistry Short Course
Are you seeing more and more rabbits? You aren’t alone! As rabbit ownership increases, and people become more aware of their needs, rabbit dentals are on the rise. We’ve put together this practical rabbit dental CPD to help you gain confidence with rabbit dental procedures. We’ll cover dental examinations, safe anaesthetics, intubation, and the treatment of the most common rabbit dental problems with both lectures and practicals. The course is held in May in our veterinary training centre in Swindon and provides 6 hours of CPD.

Dental CPD for Veterinary Nurses
Don’t worry, we didn’t forget the vet nurses! We’ve got options to help upskill the whole team to improve dental care for patients. For vet nurse dental CPD, we have:
Nurse Certificate in Dentistry
This face-to-face certificate course is suitable for veterinary nurses and veterinary paraprofessionals. In it, you’ll learn how to examine mouths and record your findings, the common canine and feline dental conditions you’ll come across, and safe anaesthesia and analgesia for dentals. Veterinary nurses and paraprofessionals who successfully complete their assignments will receive the globally recognised NCert in Dentistry/VPPCert in Dentistry, and be able to use the postnominals NCert(Dent)/VPPCert(Dent). It’s held in Swindon and starts in February – don’t miss out!

Rabbit and Small Mammal Dentistry Short Course
For nurses wanting a practical short course, this dental CPD is ideal. It covers rabbits and small mammals, meaning you can improve your confidence with those trickier cases. It’s a single day short course held in our Clinical Excellence Centre in Swindon, and you’ll learn key nursing techniques in exotic animal dentistry like nerve blocks, intubation, and post operative care. For 2025, we’ve got sessions planned in May and August.
