The Society of Practising Veterinary Surgeons (SPVS), has launched SPVS Elevate, a new leadership development programme designed to empower new and aspiring leaders within the veterinary profession.
Elevate is delivered through the SPVS Thriving in Practice e-learning hub and combines face-to-face coaching, online learning and asynchronous digital content to support participants in building core leadership skills applicable to their roles in practice.
The programme has been developed to specifically address the needs of individuals stepping into leadership roles for the first time, as well as those looking to strengthen their confidence, self-awareness, and practical leadership capabilities.
'Elevate' leadership course highlights:
- Blended delivery: In-person, virtual, and self-paced learning
- Small group format: Max. 15 delegates to support discussion and peer learning
- Course starts 26th March 2026
- Focus on developing practical leadership skills, such as confidence, emotional intelligence, and effective communication.
- Designed with the busy veterinary professional in mind, enabling participants to learn both virtually and in person
- Price includes one full day SPVS Congress delegate pass where the group will meet at the end of the course

- Self Awareness as a leader – including Insights Discovery Profiling with trained practitioner
- Coaching and developing others
- Moving from colleague to line manager
- Leadership style and behaviours
- Managing change and conflicts in the workplace
