1. Why has Improve Veterinary Education decided to invest in a new training facility?

The decision to invest in a new facility reflects our commitment to providing our customers with the best possible practical and training experience. This investment has been a long- standing aspiration, and it allows us to expand our wet-lab facilities, providing two surgical high-tech training rooms equipped with the latest and highest-quality equipment.

 

2. How was the location of the new Improve Veterinary Education Clinical Excellence Centre determined?

We sought feedback from our customers to identify the optimal location for the new facility. Swindon was chosen based on this feedback and its synergy with our existing training centre in Sheffield.

 

3. What considerations were taken into account during the facility planning process?

The planning process considered customer feedback, the need for practical training experiences, and the desire to provide the highest quality training environment.

 

4. What benefits will the expanded wet-lab facilities bring?

The expansion of wet-lab facilities allows for a more immersive and comprehensive practical training experience. With two surgical high-tech training rooms, participants can engage in a wider range of hands-on activities using the newest and highest-quality equipment available.

 

5. When is the new Improve Veterinary Education Clinical Excellence Centre expected to be operational?

The new Improve Veterinary Education Clinical Excellence Centre is scheduled to open in June 2024. Exact dates and additional details will be communicated as the opening approaches. Your Programme Coordinator will confirm when your course will move to the new venue.

Approximately 10 minutes from Alexandra House Hotel: Ground Floor, Delta 1200, Delta Business Park, Welton Road, Swindon, SN5 7XZ

 

7. Is there free parking?

Yes, there will be free parking available on site for our delegates.

 

8. Is there electric charging points?

At this time, there are no electric charging points available at this site however this is something which we are investigating. Sainsbury’s is across the road and has extensive charging facilities.

 

9. Is there any accommodation nearby?

Yes, there are several hotels close by. We have established an Improve International corporate rate with DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon. All delegates booking onto one of our courses in Swindon will be provided with information about the corporate rate. A link to their website and other local hotels are available below.

10. Do you have any directions for the Improve Veterinary Education Clinical Excellence Centre?

  • Follow M4 to Great Western Way/A3102 in Wiltshire. Take exit 16 from M4
  • Follow the Great Western Way
  • At the Spittleborough Roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Great Western Way/A3102
  • At Blagrove, take the 2nd exit and stay on Great Western Way/A3102
  • At Mannington Roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Great Western Way/B4006
  • Turn left onto Welton Rd
  • Turn right
  • Slight right and the venue is on your right

 

11. Is it accessible by public transport links?

The site is close to various transport links, including train and taxi services.

Yes, the new Improve Veterinary Education Clinical Excellence Centre is situated on the ground floor and has been developed to ensure it meets our delegates needs.

 

13. Will you still provide refreshments and lunch at my course?

Yes, we will provide full refreshments at the new venue along with lunch. 

 

14. How will my course be affected?

We do not foresee that your course will be anyway affected but you will benefit from receiving training in the latest and most high-tech facilities.

 

15. Will opening times remain the same?

Yes, all course timings will remain the same.

 

16. Will the Improve Veterinary Education Clinical Excellence Centre still be dog friendly?

Yes definitely.
