Omeprazole is a commonly used drug in small animal practice, but it is both overused and misused. In this presentation, Florent Duplan, European and RCVS Specialist in Internal Medicine, reviews the normal physiology of the stomach and when omeprazole should be used in companion animals.
You will learn:
- The anatomy and physiology of the stomach - why our patients need acid and what it's for
- How omeprazole works
- Clinical use of omeprazole in small animals
