This highly practical course is designed to equip you with the skills needed to confidently obtain standard echocardiographic views in dogs, including both right and left-sided approaches and M-mode. You’ll learn how to recognise and interpret common artefacts that may mimic cardiac pathology, and explore key changes seen in both acquired and congenital heart disease in dogs and cats.
We’ll introduce the theory behind Doppler ultrasound and guide you through its clinical applications, including how to identify normal and abnormal patterns associated with conditions such as hypertension, anaemia, hyperthyroidism, and other systemic diseases that impact cardiac function.
With extensive hands-on scanning sessions throughout the day, you’ll have ample opportunity to practise your technique and consolidate your learning under expert supervision.
Digital course notes, refreshments, and lunch are included.
Places are strictly limited to just nine delegates to ensure focused, one-to-one guidance, generous scanning time, and expert feedback at every stage.
