Supporting Pet Blood Bank One Step At A Time

We are delighted to have raised over £650 in support of Pet Blood Bank by completing a virtual 1,106-mile fundraising challenge. Staff across Improve International, Improve Veterinary Practice and ISVPS came together to cover the distance between our Swindon, UK office and Porto, Portugal office ahead of launching the new Transfusion Medicine Online Learning Programme which is in partnership with Pet Blood Bank UK.

Throughout February, our staff’s incredible efforts to walk, run and swim the distance meant we hit our 1,106-mile target in just two weeks. As a result, we challenged our keen participants to make the virtual ‘return journey’ and they finished the month by covering over 2,600 virtual miles in support of Pet Blood Bank.

This incredible charity is a trusted supplier of blood for pets and works with the vet industry to ensure the highest welfare standards for all pets. It also operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to ensure blood for pets is always available and aims to advance blood banking and transfusion medicine for pets.
