Postgraduate Certificate validation

Improve International has announced that two more of its small animal modular veterinary programmes have been validated by Harper Adams University under the partnership arrangement established in 2012.

The General Practitioner Certificate (GPCert) Dermatology and the GPCert Endoscopy and Endosurgery, which are delivered in conjunction with the European School of Veterinary Studies (ESVPS), can now be used as a route to gaining a postgraduate certificate (PgC).  Both programmes, completed by attendance only, aim to provide an updated and practical approach to these areas of practice. Their validation means that success in the GPCert exam will provide 40 academic credits towards the PgC.

PgCs are accredited at Master’s level 7 and provide 60 credits, at least 40 of which are in the designated clinical area. The remaining 20 credits are gained by undertaking a subsequent work based module delivered by Harper Adams University.  This places these PgCs at the same academic level as those offered by other CPD providers.

Our programmes utilise a combination of review lectures, case-based discussions and, where applicable, ‘hands-on’ practical sessions.”
