This one-day practical course is designed to equip you with the skills to consistently create and stain smears of optimal diagnostic quality.

You will practise the creation of smears and discuss the different staining options and common artefacts associated with them.

You will also learn how to perform a blood smear examination following a structured, step-by-step approach. This practical course will allow delegates to improve their microscopy skills and diagnostic confidence by spending ample time examining blood smears (glass and digitalised slides) from feline and canine clinical cases under the direction and supervision of an experienced teacher.

Digital course notes, refreshments, and lunch will be provided.
