This two-day introductory to intermediate level course will cover all the fundamentals of neurosurgery. Through a combination of lectures and practical work in our state-of-the-art wet lab you will cover a range of spinal procedures and gain confidence in handling neurosurgical equipment.
Under the guidance of two experienced neurosurgeons you will practice CSF sampling (cisternal and lumbar), epidural injection, thoracolumbar hemilaminectomy, thoracolumbar fenestration, thoracolumbar corpectomy and lumbo-sacral dorsal laminectomy.
On completion of this course, you will be eligible to progress your neurosurgical training by attending Improve Veterinary Education’s Advanced Neurosurgery course.
