This practical echocardiography short course provides a structured and hands-on introduction to cardiac imaging and cardiology in small animal practice. Combining essential theory with intensive practical training, the programme is designed to build confidence in performing and interpreting echocardiographic examinations.
Participants will progress from core scanning techniques and cardiac anatomy to more advanced topics, including ECG interpretation, clinical case assessment, and the diagnosis of acquired and congenital heart diseases. With a strong focus on real-world application, the course integrates practical echo sessions throughout, ensuring delegates develop both technical skills and clinical decision-making abilities.
The programme follows a balanced approach across the first four days, with a 50:50 mix of lectures and practical sessions, and concludes on Day 5 with clinical case review and an extended hands-on practical component.
