Build on your existing ultrasound knowledge and unlock your full potential
This practical and theoretical course will equip you with an in-depth knowledge of ultrasound applications. Your clinical decision-making proficiency will be strengthened, through advanced learning in ultrasound examination findings in specific disease entities, and a focus on communication of relevant differential diagnoses and prognostic factors. You will gain in depth confidence in performing applications of ultrasound in abdominal, musculoskeletal, thoracic and neck examinations, as well as ultrasound guided tissue sampling and injection techniques. Elastography and contrast-enhanced ultrasound will be introduced for the use in clinical practice.
What does the programme include?
Technological developments in recent years have led to rapid advances in veterinary ultrasonography. Meanwhile the importance of echography and echocardiography examinations in veterinary medicine has also grown as these techniques offer the accurate diagnosis required to support a successful surgical or therapeutic intervention.
The Small Animal Ultrasound comprises 14 modules, focusing on thoracic and abdominal ultrasound examinations and echocardiography.
Each module is taught by experienced veterinary specialists, with multiple practical sessions in diagnostic ultrasound to help develop these skills.
This programme has been designed for those wanting to explore and expand their previous skills and gain a better insight into the world of ultrasound. Our programmes are designed for veterinary surgeons who wish to deepen their knowledge in a particular subject.
